Which Genesis Colours?

Postby ashling on Wed Feb 17, 2010 5:15 am

Hi everyone- can anyone give me there opinion on what genesis paint colours to purchase? I have never used the genesis line before and would really love some advice on what colours to spend my money on... I want to paint my OOAK fairies/blush/eyes/skin/shadows etc... and do you need to thin the paint or do you use it straight out of the jars?

Hi Ashling,

I managed to find this for you. I hope you will find it useful. And, since it is in Canada, perhaps they might also know where you can find the angelina film you were looking for earlier in a previous post as well! Good luck and enjoy! Hugs,Lori

I found somewhere local to get the film.... thanks :) I'm going with Natasha/morezmore for the genesis paints as suggested to me since I can buy tiny amounts at a time.... thank you :D

Hmm, I think it is a personal preference really. Sometimes I bypass the genesis paints and use a simple acrylic wash on my sculpts, then I wipe it off after I apply it. I use this just to let the wash seep into the creavices and add depth to the folds etc. For my genesis, hmmm, I think I use a flesh #7 most of the time, but I have a few flesh tones that I use here and there depending on my mood.

I think the best thing to do is to get some sample jars to find the ones you like the best.

Hugs,
Lori
