Home Sweet Home - a fairy tale by Katjasdreamland on eBay

Postby Katjasdreamland on Fri Mar 26, 2010 4:30 am

Hi there,

it's been a while since I posted something new. I have been working on this piece for quite some time and now it's finally finished to put it on sale.

It's a piece followed by a fairytale - a first one for me, so don't be to hursh please

This is the story:
Every Spring, when the last snow reminds us of the hard winter, the 2 special faeries are slowly waking up. First to awake is Jade, the little one, who helps the forests to burst into leaves and gives them that delicate green colour, which calmes us down.

The second one is Violet. She touches the earth with her delicate magic hands and awakens first spring flowers.

But that is not all they do; while flying around they keep their eyes out for animals in need. This time they came across a small white mouse, who has lost his home under the heavy snow. They stopped and helped him to build a new home. After finishing the work, they climbed on the roof to fly away to help some more.

That was a lot of work. Is that another fairy inside behind the mouse I see something in there but I can't tell what it is. So much to look at. I like the interaction between the two fairies. It is very sweet. Good luck on ebay.
Morphing a ball of clay and wire into something beautiful is magical. It puts a bright light in my heart to see what my otherwise clumsy hands have created.

Yes Linda, that was a lot of work and thank you for the compliment.

No, there's no more faeries, there are 2 little pillows in there, so the mouse could be cossy :)
