I just wish I could speed up, I now have to take some better pictures of her so I can put her on ebay x Fingers and toes crossed for me  Hope you like her. I have based this fairy on Swan Lake, is it OK to use the name Odette??? Thanks for looking and I really do hope you like her xxx

Wow, Kim, she looks lovely! I really like the sequined work you have done on her costume and head dress. Very nice touch. And her slippers...so sweet. She reminds me of a shining star from a Broadway show...but then again, she is Odette from Swan Lake...no wonder she is so lovely! I see no problems with using that name at all.

Wishing you a lot of luck with her on ebay! I hope she sells for you. :-)

Hugs,
Lori

She is very pretty. I am not sure about the name, you are probubly fine, Unless you are doing an exact duplicate of of a specific, or exclusive characters outfit, likeness and name, you can do an artistic interpretation of just about anything. Look at all the avatars. LOL

Thanks girls, Oddette it is :)..... Those diamonte stones were a good idea at the time, but it took me ages and ages to place each one lol... I was using my fingers and that took forever so a little tip if you use them, I used a tiny paint brush and wetted the end each time to pick up a little stone - much easier and much quicker :). Glad you like her, I just need to try and pack her safely, now that's another challenge which will prob. take me weeks lol..... Kim xxx

haha, Kim, you are a hoot! All I can say is enjoy the process. If you rush through everything in life, how can you build proper memories of the events that have taken place? If it is important enough to take the time to do in the first place, then it is important enough to spend and eternity doing if you have to. :-D That's my motto. Enjoy every single minute of the process that you can. :-)

Hugs,
Lori

She is such a beauty. Her cheeks are so sculpted and nice. I think she has a very classical beauty to her. The way you did her outfit is so nice with all the little stones it would be tedious but you pulled her off beautifully. :)

phairee004, thank you sooo much for your comments, I have worked on her for so long and she has taken me forever to finish but I did not want to rush her and I am so glad that it shows :) thank you so much you I feel like jumping up and down..... :) I will let you know when she is on ebay. Hopefully I am going to put on her tomorrow night. Fingers and toes crossed xxx

Janis, you are so sweet, thank you for your comments, you really don't know what your words mean to me, and its all thanks to everyone here. The advice I get here and the support really inspires me and to get such feedback makes me want to sculpt another.

My problem is that I wake up thinking of dolls and go to bed dreaming of them!!! My hubby is seriously worried lol...

Thanks everyone xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Thanks gj xxx

I don't know if anyone can help me, but I am going completely crazy and I have been sitting here all night trying to put my doll on ebay... I wanted to post her on ebay worldwide but when I went onto ebay.com (hubby suggested) I could not work out the shipping costs and I just could not list her. I really wanted to list her in the fantasy section. Anyway I have put on the ebay.uk and she is listed in ooak sculpts, I am now not sure if anyone else can see her. Would someone mind looking for me and see if you can see her on ebay..... this has taken me longer than to sculpt lol.... felt like crying at one point and gggrrr was getting so upset....

Thanks everyone, I hope you don't mind me asking. xxxx

Thanks girls, I finally sold her :) I had 3 bids and sold her for £65.00 so I am very happy... had a little nightmare with the postage as when I got her weighed the post office told me it would cost £35.00 postage which i thought was really high but as I have never sent anything worldwide I just accepted it! Well when I sent the invoice the customer questioned why the postage was so high, so I wrote back and said that I would go to the main post office and find out why, well they told me the little post office quoted me parcel force and as it was just under 2k it should go royal air mail small packet!!! and the price was half the cost!!! I was not happy as it looked like I had mislead them with the postage cost! So LESSON

SORRY sent the button instead of finishing what i was saying lol...

Anyway LESSON to be learned for all newbies - double check the postage and prob would be best to go to the main post office rather than a little one in the village :)
I hope my buyer was happy with her after all the trouble :)
Anyway I have been working on a new piece so will update pics soon. Thanks for listening xxxxx

I know exactly how you feel. I don't ship internationally anymore. Stuffed animals are about all I will send out of country. I sent a doll to France and it got there broken. Customs opened it, repacked it wrong and the it broke. I had the lady send it back, I turned it in for the insurance and they said the insurance doesn't cover my art dolls. So I fixed it and sent it back to her again with very specific intructions on the inside and outside of the box how to handle unpacking and repacking so it didn't happen again. She got it OK the second time, But I lost $25 by the time all was said and done. I do not ever want to go through that again. I always add an extra pound of weight to my estimate and let ebau calculate the weight and if the shipping they pay is over, I refund it.
