Yolanda Laracuente is a profile sculptress. Her innovative
ideas for sculpting began to materialize as she became fascinated with
the world of art in her native country, Puerto Rico.
She
has served as an inspiration for many novices who create mini art
throughout the world.
Yolanda travels abroad with her beautiful work to participate
in many resourceful shows. Her love for miniature dolls
developed when she began her sculpting career designing
fantasy dolls such as elves, mermaids, and fairies.
She
makes original one of a kind polymer clay figures that are
complete in every detail. There is something surreal and yet
thoroughly realistic about those little imaginary figures she
creates. The
dolls exude a feeling of innocent seduction. The dolls seem to
bring on an effect that causes tranquility and peace.
She
has also sculpted children with sweetly innocent faces to
contrast an amusing character. Her sensuous sculptures are
destined to reside in a collectors bordello, saloon, or perhaps
in the fine home provided by an individual who loves to shower
his/her loved ones with a miniature fantasy.
This
fine art seems to be growing and expanding at such a very
rapid pace. Yolanda's art forms have been exhibited in countless
museums in California, New York, Japan, and Taiwan.
Yolanda has lived in
the U.S.A. for the past 30 years. The U.S.A. is where she discovered her Fantasy
Land.
